The annual Stephen Spender Prize requires entrants to translate a poem from any language, ancient or modern, into English and to submit a brief commentary about the translation process along with the translated poem. There are three categories – Open, 18-and-under and 14-and-under – with cash prizes in each category. Entrants must be British or Irish citizens or residents.
